Maker: Hattie Maud

The Breton was first introduced in 1858 as the uniform for French sailors but now it seems we are all in love them. At my last count, I owned 8 which is a huge number for a woman who purports to have a capsule wardrobe!

This A4 print by Yorkshire-based illustrator Hattie Maud is a wonderful way to celebrate this classic style; it reads “Wow! You look great in your Breton mate!”
